This page provides information about a set of significant changes to TFW Applications released on 4 January 2024.

Enhancements to ConfigEditor

ConfigEditor was updated to display different types of configuration with different background colours. The reason is mainly cosmetic but there are also some practical benefits.

A few other minor enhancements were made at the same time.

Configuration Editor application

A new Configuration Editor application provides access to the ConfigEditor separately from Welder, Weld Playback or any other application.

Setup program enhancements

The Setup program now installs a newer version of the CodeMeter runtime. As a result, installation of the cpsrt folder and its contents for each application is no longer necessary.

Setup now removes a couple of orphaned files during uninstallation that were previously left behind. That, in turn, allows the containing folders to be removed.

WeldPlaybackInterface Description

The Description attribute of the WeldPlaybackInterface.dll assembly was changed to make it more useful in the Excel references dialog.
